Dr. Stacy Santoro Binstock is excited to be offering virtual oncology services to pet owners and primary care veterinarians. She is a New Jersey native who completed her undergraduate degree in animal science at Rutgers University in 1997 and earned her veterinary medicine degree from Iowa State University in 2002. Following veterinary school, Dr. Binstock completed a rotating internship at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in New Jersey. Her medical oncology residency training took place at Kansas State University the University of Wisconsin which she completed in 2007. Dr. Binstock has worked in a variety of veterinary specialty hospitals on the east coast.

Dr. Binstock’s special interests include lymphoma/relapse therapy, mast cell tumors, molecular and minimally invasive diagnostics, oral cancer, and advanced imaging of tumors. She strives to offer the best possible care by customizing a specific treatment plan to fit the needs of the owner and pet, along with providing the education and emotional support needed to go through the journey. The treatment plan is unique for each pet and accounts for lifestyle, availability of treatment, cost, past experiences, life events (birth, death, illness, etc), emotional considerations, relationship with the pet, etc. She is committed to helping all pets with cancer live their best life possible.

Dr. Binstock ‘s focus is a unified care team which involves herself (as the oncologist), the pet owner, and the primary care veterinarian. This approach allows for the most comprehensive care for the pet and a support system for the pet owner. Dr. Binstock recognized the need for pet cancer care services in areas where a medical oncologist may not be accessible. In order to help provide care for all dogs and cats with cancer, she launched Lotus Pet Oncology.
